Of time and cadance in dancing, 1711-1819.

Eighteenth-century manuscript pages comprising part of John Weaver's A small treatise of time and cadence in dancing (1706) and 53 pages of dance notation in the style of Raoul-Auger Feuillet. Music notated in the treble clef, generally one or two staves per page, above dance diagrams. Known choreographies include Mr. Isaac's Rigadoon royal (1711) and Royall Anne (1712) and Guillaume Louis PeĢcourt's La Bacchante (1707) and Passacaille pour un femme dance par Mlle Subligny a l'opera de Scilla (1704). Includes several unidentified choreographic compositions in couplets.
